So, today’s Monday, what delectable delights have passed your lips so far today?

Any meat?

Supporters of Meat Free Monday say that by avoiding meat just one day a week we can contribute towards the following things:

  • Less Pollution
  • Protecting Animal Rights
  • Better Health
  • Alleviating World Hunger
  • Making A Political Statement

Which of these are important enough to you to go without meat just one day a week?

Eating less meat, and caring about the quality and welfare standards of the meat we eat has a massive impact on ourselves, animals and the planet –

The Meat Free Monday website has loads of information on how.

We’ve been having some meat free days ever since the advice for reducing risk of bowel cancer was issued. One thought though – don’t make it Mondays! That’s the day for eating up all the yummy Sunday Roast leftovers – cold crackling today – Delicious!! x

Ha! Good point – especially if you’ve had a weekend BBQ!
