Franklin Gore (born May 14, 1983) is an American football running back for the National Football League’s New York Jets (NFL).
He enrolled in The university of Miami and was signed in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, with whom he played from 2005 to 2014.
He has the most running yards in 49ers history.
He went to Coral Gables High School, where he was a standout running back on the football team.
He made 2 records throughout his career. In 10 carries against Miami Northwestern Best School, he recorded a then-career high 293 yards and two touchdowns.
The next game, he shattered that record with 319 yards and six touchdowns on 13 carries against the nation’s third-ranked defence. Gore set several Dade County single-season records during his senior year in 2000, including running yards (2,997) and touchdowns (39).
He was heavily recruited, and The Miami Herald named them the top prospect in Dade County, fourth in Florida, and fifth in the US.
