Stefon Mar’sean Diggs was born in Gaithersburg, Maryland on November 29, 1993.

He studied Our Lady of Good Counsel from 2008 to 2012, where he played football. 
Diggs was raised by his single mother after his father died, but he overcame these challenges and went on to attend the University of Maryland (UMD).

He has had potential since he was a youngster, and coaches have always known he had a great career ahead of him.

Stefon Diggs was the runner-up for the Gatorade Maryland Player of the Year as a junior in high school, with 23 touchdowns and 810 receiving yards. He maintained his domination as a senior, with 770 receiving yards, 11 touchdowns, and 277 running yards. 

Stefon also played defense, recording 31.5 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss (TFL), and one sack in his last season. The Washington Post chose Diggs to its All-Metro first team, and he was also awarded the US Army All-American Junior Combine MVP.

Diggs was a 5-star recruit out of high school, and according to the 247 Sports Composite, he was the No. 8 rated player and No. 2 wide receiver in the Class of 2012. 

He committed to the University of Maryland, where he was a football scholarship student from 2012 to 2014. Diggs was named Second-Team All-Big Ten in 2014, among other honors.

Diggs was declared for the NFL Draft following his junior season at UMD. The Minnesota Vikings selected him 146th overall in the fifth round in 2015.

The Bills made the playoffs and progressed to the AFC Championship game, where they were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs; Diggs had six catches for 77 yards in that game.

Diggs topped the NFL in catches and yards in 2020, with 127 and 1,535, respectively.
