Gilbert Jeremy Gottfried, an American stand-up comedian, and actor who played the voice of the parrot Iago in the Disney film “Aladdin,” has passed on at 67 on Sunday.

Gottfried was born on February 28, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York. He started doing comedy at age 15, in New York City and, after a few years, he was nicknamed “the comedian’s comedian”.
