Sinéad Marie Bernadette O’Connor is an Irish singer who was born in Dublin, Ireland on December 8, 1966.
Sinéad’s musical career began in the early 1980s, when she joined a band named Ton Ton Macoute. Her performance with the band eventually got her a record deal with Ensign Records, where her first significant assignment was recording a song for the 1986 film “Captive” with famed guitarist ‘The Edge of U2’.
O’Connor continued to record music and at the age of 20, she released her debut album, “The Lion and the Cobra,” in 1987.
