Hollywood legend Howard Hesseman has passed away.
Hesseman, who made who played the disc jockey Johnny Fever on the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the age of 81.
His wife, actress Caroline Ducrocq said the actor died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Los Angeles of complications from colon surgery he first had last summer.
Born on February 27, 1940, in Lebanon, Oregon, Hesseman was the son of Edna Forster and George Henry Hesseman.
The legendary actor graduated from Silverton High School in 1958.
He attended the University of Oregon, and was later a founding member of the San Francisco-based improvisational comedy troupe The Committee with fellow actor David Ogden Stiers.
Early in his acting career, he used the alias Don Sturdy, the name he also used as a radio DJ on underground FM station KMPX in San Francisco in the late 1960s.

Howard Hesseman has been married twice. First, he married to Catherine Maison in 1965 and divorced her in 1974.
Then, he married Caroline Ducrocq, an actress and acting teacher, who has been married to Hesseman for more than three decades.
Hesseman and Caroline tied the knot in 1989. But before their marriage, the couple lived together for seven years.
Unfortunately, their couple didn’t bear children.
However, they had godchildren, Grace, Hamish, and Chet.
