Stan Rodger was a former Labour cabinet member who died on May 30, 2022.
Rodger was also a former Public Services Association president, was elected MP for Dunedin North in 1978, and served until 1990.

During Lange’s tenure as Minister of Labour and State Services, he was in charge of the State Sector Act, which transformed the country’s public sector.
Rodger worked as an assistant registrar to the Secretary of the School of Dentistry at the University of Otago after leaving politics.
He participated in many policy review groups and was a member of the Transpower Board of Directors from 2000 to 2006.
