Taylor Harry Fritz is a professional tennis player from the United States. The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has given him a career-high singles ranking of world No. 12 on July 25, 2022, and a doubles rating of world No. 104 on July 26, 2021.
Fritz has three ATP Tour singles championships to his name, including a Masters 1000 victory at the Indian Wells Masters in 2022. He reached the quarterfinals of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, his highest achievement at a Grand Slam competition.
He currently trains at the designated courts of ATP in Turin.
Fritz made his first ATP final appearance in only his third professional event, the 2016 Memphis Open. Only John Isner, another American, has reached an ATP final in fewer career tournaments. At the 2015 US Open, he won a junior major singles championship.
Fritz grew up in Rancho Santa Fe, a suburb of San Diego, with his brothers. As a freshman, he won the CIF singles title in the San Diego division at Torrey Pines High School.
He transferred to an online high school a few months into his second year to play full-time ITF junior competitions.
