Former Angels employee Eric Kay is being accused of giving the narcotics that contributed to Tyler Skaggs‘ overdose death.
A coworker revealed that Kay saw the Angels pitcher consume substances the night before he was discovered dead in a suburban Dallas hotel room.
Kay, who is charged with drug distribution and drug conspiracy, told Adam Chodzko around two weeks after Skaggs death in 2019 that he was in Skaggs room.
Kay informed Chodzko that he rejected down Skaggs’ invitation to take narcotics with him, according to Chodzko’s testimony. Kay had recently returned to the organisation after a drug treatment stay and was one of Chodzko’s employees on the Angels’ public relations department at the time.
Skaggs was seen on July 1, 2019 dead after the team had returned from Long Beach Airport.
