Naomi Judd was a singer-songwriter and actor from the United States. In 1983, she and her daughter Wynonna founded the Judds, a tremendously popular country music combo that won five Grammy Honors and nine Country Music Association awards.
While Wynonna continued to perform as a solo singer, she periodically rejoined her mother for concerts as The Judds when Naomi was stricken with hepatitis in 1991.
Naomi committed suicide on April 30, 2022, one day before her induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Ashley claimed to have discovered Naomi’s body… “It had been a strange day. When I’m home in Tennessee, I visit my mother and father every day, so I was at the house as usual. ‘Will you remain with me?’ Mom said, and I replied, ‘Of course.’ I went upstairs to inform her that her close buddy was present, and I found her. I’m dealing with both loss and trauma as a result of meeting her.”
Ashley stated that there was a separation, or better put, a wall, between Naomi’s sentiments towards the outside world and how she felt about herself. Naomi’s mental instability prevented her from processing the love and worth she received from others.
