Andriy is the currently the mayor of Lviv. He assumed office on March 26,2006. He was born on August 19,1968 at the city of Lviv.

He served in the USSR army from 1987 to 1989. In 1987, he completed the Lviv technical school of radioelectronics.

He is the co-founder of Lux media holding. He graduated with a master’s degree in public administration from the national academy for public administration under the president of Ukraine in 1999.
