America’s Supreme Court appointee Ketanji Brown Jackson is married with two adorable daughters.
Ketanji is an attorney and jurist serving as a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit since 2021.
On Friday, February 25, 2022, America’s president Joe Biden name Ketanji Brown Jackson as his nominee to the Supreme Court.
She would be the first Black woman to sit on the highest court in the nation, if she is confirmed.
Senate Democratic leaders hope to have a vote confirming Jackson to the court by mid-April. Jackson, 51, currently sits on DC’s federal appellate court and had been considered the front-runner for the vacancy since Justice Stephen Breyer announced his retirement, reports CNN.
Announcing her nomination, President Biden said: “For too long, our government, our courts, haven’t looked like America.”
He continued: “I believe it’s time that we have a court that reflects the full talents and greatness of our nation with a nominee of extraordinary qualifications, and that we inspire all young people to believe that they can one day serve their country at the highest level.”
Reacting to her nomination, Ketanji stated that: “I am especially grateful for the care that you have taken in discharging your constitutional duty in service of our democracy, with all that is going on in the world today.”
“Some of my earliest memories are of him sitting at the kitchen table reading his books. I watched him study and he became my first professional role model,” she adds.

Ketanji is married to Patrick G. Jackson, and they’ve been married for 25 years. The couple tied the knot in 1996. Jackson is a surgeon and sixth-generation Harvard graduate, whose family is considered Boston Brahmin.
Ketanji has two beautiful daughters with Jackson. They are Talia Jackson and Leila Jackson.
Talia is currently 21 years old and Leila, on the other hand, is 17 years old. Talia is in college and Leila is in high school. Little is known about the particular schools they attend.
In 2017, Ketanji disclosed in a speech that she had her first daughter Talia while she was a new lawyer and trying to balance those demands.
In her speech, she said that one of her daughters was 12 “but thinks she is 21” and the second had just turned 16.
She further disclosed that she suffered from “whiplash” because, during the workday, she is a federal judge. But when she comes home her daughters “make it very clear” that they think she “knows nothing” and shouldn’t give them orders, if they talk to her at all.
Brown Jackson called them the “sassy sisters.”
Talia Jackson and Leila Jackson are currently not on Instagram.
