Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson born May 16, 1969, is an American television host and conservative political analyst who has hosted Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News every night since 2016.
Carlson began his media career in the 1990s, writing for publications such as The Weekly Standard and others. From 2000 until 2005, he worked as a CNN pundit and co-host of the network’s prime-time news discussion program Crossfire.
Susan Thomson Carlson is Tucker’s first wife. They met at St. George’s School, where she was the headmaster’s daughter, and married in the school chapel on August 10, 1991.
Tucker was born in the Mission District in San Francisco, California. He is the older son of Lisa McNear, a San Francisco native, and Dick Carlson a former “gonzo reporter” who went on to become the president of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the director of Voice of America.
