The world is shocked to learn about the passing of one of the American legendary black news anchors, Bruce Johnson.
He died on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the age of 71, according to his wife, Lori.
Johnson was a reporter for WUSA 9 TV in Washington, D.C. Politics and urban affairs, and investigative and hard-hitting feature stories were his expertise.
He worked as a news anchor for more than four decades before retiring in 2020. Johnson kicked off his career at Channel 9 on March 16, 1976, at 25 years old.
He is survived by his wife and three children.

In April 2018, Bruce Johnson confirmed in a Facebook post that he was diagnosed with cancer called Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He retired following the announcement and started chemotherapy treatment.

Is cancer the cause of Bruce Johnson’s death?
Even though he had cancer, the cause of his death had nothing to do with the disease.
Rather, Bruce Johnson died of heart failure at a hospital in Delaware, according to WUSA9 channel.
