Davidovich Fokina won the Spanish U12, U15, and U18 championships. In 2016, he began his professional tennis career. At the Repentigny Internationaux de Tennis Junior, he won his first ITF Grade 1 title in Canada, defeating Félix Auger-Aliassime in the semifinals and Liam Caruana in the final.
In October, he won his first doubles championship with French player Alexis Klégou in a Futures event in Nigeria.
