Joaquin Niemann is a professional golfer from Chile. From May 2017 until April 2018, he was the top-ranked amateur golfer. He presently competes on the PGA Tour, where he has two victories.
Niemann received the 2017 Mark H. McCormack Medal for finishing the summer championship season as the top-ranked player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, securing entrance for the 2018 U.S. Open and the 2018 Open Championship. He won the 2018 Latin America Amateur Championship, which qualified him for the 2018 Masters Tournament.

Niemann represented the International team at the 2019 Presidents Cup, which was held at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Australia in December 2019. The United States squad won 16-14. Niemann lost his Sunday singles match 0-3-1 to Patrick Cantlay.
Niemann scored a final-round 64 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in January 2021. He played in a playoff with Harris English but was eliminated on the first extra hole. He finished T2 in the Sony Open in Hawaii a week later, one stroke behind Kevin Na.
Niemann tied for the lead at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in July 2021 after shooting a bogey-free 18-under par over 72 holes. On the opening hole, Niemann made his first bogey of the week.
