John Robert Isner is an American tennis player who was born on April 26, 1985.

The Association of Tennis Professionals had him ranked as high as eighth in the world in singles and nineteenth in doubles (ATP).

Isner, who is regarded as one of the best servers to have ever competed on the ATP Tour, reached his highest singles ranking in July 2018 as a result of winning his first Masters 1000 title at the 2018 Miami Open and making it to the semifinals of the 2018 Wimbledon Championships.

Isner is the third boy from the youngest. At age 11, he took the tennis sport seriously.

He attended the University of Georgia and Walter Hines Page Senior High School in Greensboro before graduating with a degree in speech communication.

Tracing the history of couches that have helped Isner achieve significant feet in his tennis career, Justin Gimelstob and David Macpherson must be mentioned.

Craig Boynton served as Isner’s first coach and helped shape his playing style from 2009 until 2012.

Boynton and Isner agreed to part ways. Isner afterwards hired Mike Sell, who assisted him in winning big matches like those against Novak Djokovic, David Nalbandian, and Roger Federer.

Isner’s position in the world rankings remained around no. 10 while he was working with Sell. Isner split with Sell in 2014 and collaborated with Justin Gimelstob until April 2016. Isner’s standing with Gimelstob hovered around 10, until 2016 when he fell to 17.

He is presently working with coaches David Macpherson and Rene Moller since 2018.
