The 2020-cancelled “Live PD” series will be back on Reelz on July 22 as “On Patrol: Live,” with Dan Abrams serving as host once more.
The real-time series follows police officers as they patrol around America.
“This show has become a part of my DNA, and I certainly want a partner who feels the same way,” Abrams, 56, told The Post.
“Reelz is really excited about this series; they’re committing a lot of their entire network to the series and are going to put their marketing behind it.”
In June 2020, A&E and “Live PD” producer Big Fish Entertainment cancelled the 2016 series after George Floyd’s death sparked outcry about police violence on a national scale.
It was A&E’s most popular series at the time, and a further 160 episodes had recently been ordered.
The popular television program “Cops,” which aired on Fox for 25 seasons before relocating to Spike TV, which later changed its name to Paramount Network, was canceled the day before “Live PD.”
In October 2021, it returned to the streaming platform Fox Nation for its 33rd season.
