The cricket world has lost a gem, Andrew Symonds, who passed away in a deadly single-car crash that occurred on Saturday night (May 14).
The circumstances under which he had the accident haven’t been established but Queensland Police said an attempt by its emergency service to revive him proved futile.
In a statement to the press, Queensland Police said: “Emergency services attempted to revive the 46-year-old driver and sole occupant, however, he died of his injuries.”
He died of injuries at about 10:30 pm on Saturday in Hervey Range, 50km west of Townsville in far north Queensland.

When the horse won and Symonds cleaned up as a result, he asked her to his Brisbane home for dinner to celebrate.
