Haynes worked for CBS3 from 1965 until her retirement in 1999. During her career She interviewed Martin Luther King Jr., former President Lyndon B. Johnson, and former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. She also spoke with a number of Philadelphia mayors and Pennsylvania governors.
