Dwayne Haskins of the Pittsburgh Steelers has died this weekend on April 9, after being struck by a vehicle.
His 25th birthday was coming on May 3.
Head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed the news on Twitter.
Haskins was hit by a car while exercising with Steelers teammates in Boca Raton, Florida.
Kysre Rae Gondrezick, a WNBA player, is also Gondrezick-Haskins sister.
His sister was selected fourth overall in the first round of the 2021 WNBA draft and currently played for the Indiana Fever.
