Jala Fahmy was an Egyptian actress, radio presenter and entertainer.

Fahmy graduated with a degree in English literature.  She began her creative career at the tender age of twelve, presenting radio programmes Hekayat Rawya WFekry and Al-Hall Howa Al-Habl.

She then transitioned towards acting, featuring in various TV episodes and films such as Youm Helw, Youm Morr, and Edam Qady.

Jala Fahmy’s popularity peaked in the 1990s, when she appeared in a number of commercially successful films such as Keid El-Awalem, Kabdat El-Helaly, El-Hob Fi Taba, El Jeans, TaaTa W-Rika W-Kazem Beh, Samaka w-Arba Orosh, Alaqat Mashboha, and Kalam El-Liel.

Her most recent films were Jala Jala in 2001 and Awel Marra Teheb Ya Alby in 2003.

She recently died at the age of 59.
