Derrick Lamar Henry Jr. who was born on January 4, 1994, is an American football running back for the Tennessee Titans (NFL).

Henry was raised in Yulee, Florida, and with the Yulee Hornets, he established the national high school football record for career running yards.

His commanding rushing style and greater physique than the ordinary running back gave him the moniker “King Henry.”

He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he broke Herschel Walker’s single-season college rushing yards record in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) during his junior season, won the 2015 Heisman Trophy, the Doak Walker Award, the Maxwell Award, and the Walter Camp Award, and was a key member of the 2015 Alabama Crimson Tide football team that won the National Championship.

The Titans selected Henry in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Henry was later named the Associated Press NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2020.
