Journalist Vira Hyrych was killed in Kyiv after a Russian missile strike hit her apartment building in the Ukrainian capital.

According to RFE/Ukrainian RL’s Service, Hyrych’s body was discovered early on April 29 amid the wreckage of the building, which had been hit by a Russian missile the night before.

On April 28, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was in Kyiv as missile strikes hit the capital, including Vira’s apartment block.
