Dening Day cause of death: What happened to Jason Day’s mother?

Dening Day raised Jason as a single mother after his father died of stomach cancer when he was only 12 years old. Dening was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small-cell lung cancer in 2017.

Doctors gave Dening one year to live, but after a surgery  in March that year her health and well-being were restored, and she remained an important part of her son’s life. Jason has always been candid about the impact his mum’s diagnosis had on his mental health and play.

He made that revelation ones in a brief interview in a press conference at the WGC-Dell Major Championship. Jason sobbed about what was happening and said It’s been really hard to play golf lately, that year, and had to withdraw from the event because of her mum’s condition.
