Austin Smotherman is a professional golfer from the United States. He was born in May 19, 1994. He competed on the Korn Ferry Tour as a student at Southern Methodist University and played collegiate golf there.

At the 2021 Simmons Bank Open, Smotherman won his first tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour, dominating from start to finish to win by three strokes. The 2021 Simmons Bank Open won by the American, took his accumulated prize money into seven figures.

Smotherman played golf alongside  Bryson DeChambeau while attending SMU. In 2016, he made his professional debut. He achieved partial status on the Web.com Tour in 2019 by winning the 2018 Mexican Open while competing on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica.

He also finished fourth on the tour’s Order of Merit.  At the TPC San Antonio Championship in 2020, he led after 36 holes before finishing alone in fourth place.
