Emilia is popularly known for performing the lead role in the 2021 film CODA as Ruby Rossi, for which she received a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Jones is also known for playing the role of Kinsey Locke in the popular Netflix series Locke & Key (2020–present), while also having additional early roles in television, such as Doctor Who (2013) and Utopia (2013–2014), and lead roles in films like Brimstone (2016), Ghostland (2018), and Horrible Histories (2019). She also performed in several theatrical productions in the West End in London.

She is the daughter of Welsh singer and TV presenter, Aled Jones and his English wife and circus performer, Claire Fossett.

She is from a family of two siblings – a boy and a girl where she happens to be the first child of her parents. her younger brother has been identified as Lucas Jones.
