How did Richard Russell die?

Russell, a Horizon Air ground support agent with no previous flight experience, stole a Bombardier Q400.

He was able to fly the plane for an hour and a half before crashing it 25 miles from the runway on Ketron Island in Puget Sound.

New CCTV footage made available by the Port of Seattle has revealed further details about the tragic occurrence and Russell’s final seconds before the accident.

Russell was seen on video camera passing through airport security five hours before stealing the jet, wearing a shirt that stated “The Sky’s No Limit.” He is then seen entering the airport’s exclusive baggage handlers-only section.
