Did Albert Pujols lie about his age?
It’s not unusual for Dominican sports stars and athletes to blatantly lie about their age, but according a former MLB executive, he believed that the person who has been lying about his age all along is Albert Pujols.
The former MLB executive David Samson split this out during an appearance on “The Dan Le Batard Show”. Samson, who was a former Marlins president, while reflecting on the 2012 offseason when Pujols was still a free agent, and the Marlins were one of the teams fighting to sign him, revealed that the MLB stalwart isn’t the age he claims to be and that what’s more, its no secret in baseball circles.
He further explained that the Marlins first realized the true state of things when they began doing the calculations for a deal that could potentially see Pujols signed by the franchise.
