Kazuki Takahashi is trending all over not for the right reasons; his death has caused quite a stir on the internet. Several media outlets reported Thursday that Kazuki Takahashi, author of the popular manga series Yu-Gi-Oh!, had died tragically at age 60.

Kazuki Takahashi was a Japanese manga artist and game designer best known for creating (Yu-Gi-Oh). He began working on the masterpiece three decades ago in 1982.

Takahashi, whose real name is Kazuo Takahashi, was discovered floating in the waters off Nago, Okinawa Prefecture, on Wednesday morning while wearing snorkeling gear, according to reliable sources.

Officials from the Coast Guard confirmed that the body was Takahashi’s.

It was said that the 60year old was traveling alone in Okinawa when a car rental company called police on Wednesday night to say they couldn’t reach him, leading the coast guard to believe the body was his.

Per sources, the injuries to his belly and lower parts of the body were apparently caused by a shark or other sea creature bites.

Takahashi’s works have been adapted into television series, movies, and card games both at home and abroad.
