She married Irish actor, Gabriel Byrne in 1988 and they divorced in 1999. They had two children together; John “Jack” Daniel, born in 1989, and Romy Marion, born in 1992.

Their relationship ended on good terms as Bryne attended her second wedding to billionaire businessman, Ronald Perelman.

She got married to Perelman in June 2000 and their divorce was finalized in early 2006. After their divorce in late 2007, Perelman was sued by his ex-wife Barkin.

The divorce settlement required Perelman to invest several million dollars in Barkin’s film production company which she started with her brother.

Perelman only made one payment and made a countersuit claiming that Barkin and her brother had looted the film company for themselves.

He was ordered to pay her $4.3 million.
