A jury has heard testimony from Ryan Giggs’ ex-girlfriend about how the former Manchester United player kicked her “so hard she flew off the bed” during a hotel attack.

On the evening of December 6, 2019, Kate Greville says Giggs also threw a bag at her head at London’s Stafford Hotel.

In September 2017, the 36-year-old PR executive testified during Giggs’ trial at Manchester Crown Court that the defendant also threw her naked into a hotel hallway.

Jurors have heard Ms. Greville’s account of what happened in London when she informed police that “Mr. Giggs threw a bag at my head with a laptop in it, causing my skull to swell and bruise.”

Chris Daw QC, the attorney for Giggs, proceeded to question Ms. Greville on Thursday.

The following day, on December 7, when Ms Greville boarded a train for a wedding in Shrewsbury and the ex-player remained in the city to work on television, he walked her through a series of text messages the two had exchanged.
