Mary Bearey was a celebrity mother who happen to be to mother of comedy writer, author, and podcaster, Patrick Carlin and his brother who was also a comedian, actor, author, and social critic, George Carlin.

She was born on 10 Jun 1896 in Manhattan, New York County (Manhattan), New York, USA to her parents Dennis Bearey and Mary Grady of Ireland. She was married to John Patrick Carlin but they divorced several years later. John was born in 1888 and he passed away in 1945.

She welcomed two sons with her ex-husband John – Patrick Carlin and George Carlin. She raised her two sons by herself working as an executive secretary in New York City.

She suddenly passed away on June 6, 1984, in Los Angeles County, California, USA. She died at the age of 87, however, her cause of death has not been disclosed to date.
