Michael Hayes Thompson (born April 16, 1985) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour.
From 1999 until 2003, Thompson attended University High School in Tucson, Arizona. He won the Class 4A state team title in 2003 and was awarded Arizona High School State Player of the Year in 2002 and 2003 while there. Thompson attended Tulane University for two seasons until the golf team was dissolved following Hurricane Katrina. Thompson went on to attend the University of Alabama. Thompson was the 2008 SEC Player of the Year while on the Alabama golf team.
