Sam Bruce was a Miami Hurricanes athlete who died on April 28, 2022.

Bruce was also a Florida high school football hero.

He was however fired during his freshman season for many infractions of team rules and a failure on his part to achieve the obvious standards established to be a part of the Miami football program.

Bruce went on to appear for the Indoor Football League after attending Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. and Southeastern University.

Bruce was a star in high school, garnering the moniker The Samborghini.

He helped the Raiders win back-to-back state championships in 2014 and 2015.

He was 24.

His cause of death has been kept from the tabloids for investigative reasons.

His former high school, St. Thomas Aquinas, confirmed his death by posting this heartfelt message saying

“Rest in peace, Sam Bruce! We’ll miss you and love you!”

The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders football team also acknowledge his family on Facebook.
