David Alfred Perdue Jr. is an American politician and business executive who served as a United States senator from Georgia from 2015 to 2021.

A member of the Republican Party, Perdue is currently a candidate for Governor of Georgia in 2022

He was born on the 10th of December 1949 in Macon, Georgia. He is an American. His parents are David Alfred Perdue Sr. (father) and Gervaise Wynn Perdue (mother). His parents were both schoolteachers.

His father is a Democrat, who was elected as superintendent of schools for Houston County, Georgia from 1961 to 1980, where he oversaw the desegregation of the school system.

He was brought up in Warner Robins, Georgia, and moved on from Northside High School in 1968, where he was a phenomenal understudy, a varsity competitor, and class president.

He set off for college for one year at the United States Air Force Academy beginning in June 1968, after getting an arrangement from Congressman Jack Brinkley of Georgia, however, exited in the wake of acquiring low grades.

His wife is called Bonnie Perdue who is the mother of his children.

In 1969 he kept in touch with Congressman Brinkley that he needed to stop the Air Force Academy stating, “I have committed an error and I don’t need this sort of vocation.”

He later moved to Georgia Tech, where he procured a four-year college education in modern design in 1972, and a graduate degree in tasks research in 1975.

He is the main cousin of the previous Governor of Georgia and previous U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue.

He is the grandfather to David Perdue IV and Hudson Perdue.
