Canadian Comedian Candy Palmater has died at the age of 53, her partner and manager have confirmed this to CBC News on Saturday.
Denise Tompkins stated that Palmater has died peacefully at her home in Toronto and a virtual public service is going to be organized in the near future for the fans and friends.

She was recently discharged from the hospital, Palmater is a member of the Mi’kmaw in New Brunswick, she was known for her bold feminist front and humor, she had her own radio and television shows.
She was living in Halifax for almost three decades, it is where she studied law, she worked as a lawyer and also for the Nova Scotia government.
Palmater had just finished writing an autobiography which is all set to be published in the new year.
