Memphis rapper LePreston Porter, aka Snootie Wild, has been shot dead. He was killed on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the age of 36.
Snootie Wild an American rapper and singer who was best known for his first single, “Yayo”, whose success helped launch his career. The song charted in the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
After signing with Gotti’s CMG imprint in 2013, Snootie delivered his debut EP Go Mode, which was followed by his 2015 tape Ain’t No Stoppin’ Me.

Snootie Wild cause of death
Snootie Wild died from injuries sustained from gunshots.
According to a report filed by ABC 13, Snootie was found shot in the neck early Friday in the south side region of Houston.
It said authorities confirmed that they received reports about gunfire at around 2 a.m. along England Street, where they discovered Snootie in a ditch next to an SUV.
He had sustained a gunshot wound to the neck, and was transferred to a hospital in critical condition.
Snootie’s family and management confirmed the news on the rapper’s official Instagram and Facebook pages.
“Gone in body, but your NAME & LEGACY will live forever! #TeamYayo4Life,” they wrote on his Instagram page.

There’s no record of him being married, however, he had four children.
In 2016, he confirmed in an interview with HotNewHipHop that he had four children. They are Laterrion, 18, Lanya, 15, Lapriencia, 14 and Lakirra, 12.
“I do my best to spend time with them instead of just spending money,” he told HotNewHipHop.
“ith my boy, he’s like my shadow. I play basketball with him when I can, I conversate him, I always kiss him and tell him things he needs to know, because he’s getting that age where he’s about to be a teenager. I don’t want to be a granddaddy any time soon!”
