RaDonda Vaught is a 38-year-old Vanderbilt University Medical Center ex-nurse, who was indicted in 2019 on two charges. First, for reckless homicide and impaired adult abuse, in the death of Charlene Murphey at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Murphey was 75 years old when he died on Dec. in the wake of being injected with with the wrong drug.
Where is RaDonda Vaught now?
Nashville District Attorney’s Office stated that the jury’s conviction of RaDonda Vaught was not an indictment against the nursing profession or the medical community. It stated that the case was, and always has been about the gross neglect by Vaught causing the death of Charlene Murphey.
It also added that it was not a ‘singular’ or ‘momentary’ mistake. Tennessee Board of Nursing unanimously voted to revoke Vaught’s nursing license last summer.
When will RaDonda Vaught be sentenced?
the Nashville District Attorney’s Office has indicated that Vaught’s sentencing is set for May 13, 2022.
