He is currently ranked astute Ring Magazine as the fifth best active boxer in the cruiserweight division.

The cruiserweight boxer was born in Los Angeles, California to parents of Nigerian descent.

He is currently trained by super seasoned boxing trainers Floyd Mayweather Sr., Jeff Mayweather, and Otis Pimpleton at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas.

He defeated Keith Tapia by the decision to win the NABF cruiserweight championship in May 2016, and he successfully defended it against Quantis Graves in February 2017.

He won the USBA cruiserweight championship in August 2017 and successfully defended his titles twice in quick succession.
