George Kenneth Griffey Jr. is an American former baseball player.

He spent the majority of his career with the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds, with the exception of a brief spell with the Chicago White Sox.
Griffey, a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame and a thirteen-time All-Star, is one of baseball’s most prolific home run hitters, with 630 home runs ranking eighth in MLB history.
Griffey was also a great defender, winning 10 Gold Glove Awards in center field.
