Josephine Ann Tewson was a British stage and television character actress. She was best known for her roles in British television sitcoms, such as Edna Hawkins in Shelley, Elizabeth Warden, the long-suffering next-door neighbor of Hyacinth Bucket in Keeping Up Appearances from 1990 to 1995; and Miss Davenport in “Last of the Summer Wine” in 2003 to 2010.
