Did Amber Heard steal quotes from ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’ during testimony?

According to a Facebook post, Amber Heard used a movie phrase in the opening lines of her evidence during the trial in a defamation action brought against her by her former husband, actor Johnny Depp.

This assertion has been utilized by a lot of people to argue that Ms. Heard was “acting” throughout her testimony.

Ms. Heard’s evidence did not begin with this phrase, nor did she utter it at any point throughout her first day on the stand.

Ms. Heard’s “opening comments” as she took the stand for the first day of her evidence on 4 May, according to the post,

“The thing with (Johnny…)… It’s as if the sun is shining on you, and it’s beautiful. And suddenly he forgets about you, and it’s bitterly cold… When you have his attention, you feel like you’re the only person on the planet, which is why everyone adores him.”

These are actual quotes from a sequence in the 1999 film The Talented Mr. Ripley, with Mr. Depp’s name substituted.

Despite several posts sharing the same claim, Ms. Heard did not begin her testimony by quoting these lines.
