Ben Roethlisberger is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL).

Roethlisberger was born on March 2, 1982, in Lima, Ohio.

He is regarded as one of the league’s most effective quarterbacks, mostly noted for playing outside the passing pocket, which he refers to as “backyard football.” 

Roethlisberger attended Miami University for his undergraduate studies.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. He was selected 11th overall by the Steelers in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft.
