James Madison University has officially stated that softball player Lauren Bernett has died. This announcement was made on April 26, 2022. She was 20 years.
Lauren Bernett majored in biology with a minor in veterinary medicine.
In an official statement, Jonathan Alger the president of James Madison university lamented how much they will miss the softball champion.
“Lauren Bernett was a high-achieving member of the James Madison softball team and a great ambassador of JMU and our athletics program. College athletics is great because of the people we get to interact with every day. we are a tight family.
We are grateful Lauren was part of our JMU athletics community and will always consider her to be a Duke. We will miss her dearly”, the statement read.
Who are Lauren Bernett parents and siblings?
Lauren Bernett’s mother was also a softball player at Washington and Jefferson College.
The colonial athletic conference softball player of the week is survived by her parents, Scott Bernett and Kim Bernett with three older siblings.
She was born in 2001 in the small town of McDonald, Pennsylvania.
