American comedienne and actress Betty White has been confirmed dead, just 17 days to her 100th birthday celebration. She was confirmed dead on Friday, December 31, 2021.

Her agent and close friend Jeff Witjas confirmed her death in a statement to PEOPLE magazine.

Jeff Witjas said: “Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever. I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much.”

“I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again,” the statement added.

The Los Angeles Police Department received a call on Friday morning to Betty White’s home.

The police arrived at her home near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Bundy Drive in Brentwood around 9:30 a.m.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, their preliminary investigation reveals that Betty White died of natural death. They suspect no foul play in the death of Betty White.

Betty White passed away at the age of 99 years.
