Bob Goalby was an American Golfer who won 11 PGA Tour championships, including the 1968 Masters, and was a driving force behind the development of the PGA Tour Champions.
The PGA Tour and Bill Haas, Goalby’s great-nephew, announced his death on Wednesday.
He won the caddy championship at the age of 13 and had improved to the point where he could shoot par by the time he began his freshman year at Belleville West High.
For 14 years, Goalby worked as a television pundit and analyst for NBC’s golf coverage. He was also instrumental in the development of the PGA Tour Champions.
