Roddie Haley was an American Sprinter. He was born on December 6, 1964.
Haley is most remembered for winning the NCAA 400m championships as a freshman in Austin in 1985 in 44.70 seconds (he also won two NCAA indoor 500 titles).
He was also a member of the US 4 x 400 squad that won the world championship in 1987.He has put up some spectacular efforts at the Penn Relays. In 1985, he split 44.2 seconds on the DMR, and in 1986, he split 43.5 seconds.
Haley was voted the meet’s 1985 Outstanding Male Athlete at Penn, since he was also on winning 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 teams.
He died at the age of 57.
