Reports have it that Boris was born on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City to Stanley Johnson, a 23-year-old Columbia University economics student, and Charlotte Fawcett, a 22-year-old artist from a family of liberal intellectuals.
Before relocating to the United States, Johnson’s parents married in 1963. They returned to their native England in September 1964, so Charlotte could study at the University of Oxford.
