On 10th January 1843, Alexander Franklin James was born in Missouri, United States as the first child of his parents. He was known as a soldier who was part of Guerrilla Warfare during the period of Post Civil War.

James’ parents were Rev. Minister Robert Sallee James and his wife, Zerelda James. As a child, James was frequently seen in his father’s library with a keen interest in the works of William Shakespeare.

Young James said it was his dream to be a teacher, however, when the American civil war began in 1861, eighteen-year-old James’ dreams were cut short.

He moved from one troop to another and eventually joined a gang that was known for notorious deeds until he surrendered to be tried in court for robbery and murder. James was acquitted of all charges.

Years after his trial, Alexander retired to the James farm where he worked as a tour guide. James died on the farm on 18th February 1915.
